Situation that's going well... winter assessment scores were great! Much improvement shown since the fall. Kid spelling is actually readable in many cases Yea! Why? It is successful because I really emphasize phonics/reading/kid-spelling! We journal a lot. We kid-spell class books almost every week. I make it a point to leave blanks in the message every day (on the white board) and have the students take turns giving me the current letter.
