Situation/Case Study:

The teaching-learning relationship is on one level a very simple concept - the interchange between teacher and student. However, in today's climate, I sometimes feel that the beauty and joy of teaching students is buried underneath layers of change proposals, political agendas, standards, etc., similar to the layers of an onion. How do we cut through the layers of outside constraints and influences to reach the essence of what we set out to do in becoming teachers?
