I'm the one who had the seventh grade art classes where the kids had high energy and did not want to do art. They would bang stuff and turn around to create commotion all the time. I started calling parents; I put a few kids in the hall, and I implemented a student conference in front of another faculty person. The students began to see I was serious about good behavior and that I was willing to spend the time to solve the problems. The kids now realize I am serious and things are going much better.
