Situation/Case Study:

Special education student comes to class with a paraprofessional. He is very disruptive and does not function at the level of the other students. In fact, he does not do any of the art projects with the kids. At times he slams doors, throws chairs.

Teacher is frustrated and nervous about this conduct and concerned about legal issues.

Theories behind practice:

Impact on others:

Teacher will go to the special education teacher and state her concerns and ask for assistance from her. Have the paraprofessional remove the student when he becomes disruptive to the class and report this behavior to the principal. Document behavior as well as action taken.
