STUDENT/TEACHER/FAMILY ISSUE

Description:
A teacher received a Sunday night phone call from the parent of a student in her class. She knows the parent personally and the call stems as much from the personal as the professional relationship. The student in question is avoiding school because other students are harassing him. From the teacher's perspective, the student doesn't know how to make friends and aggravates the situation through his behavior. He has also been diagnosed with ADD. The teacher doesn't know how to help him.
