STUDENT/TEACHER/FAMILY ISSUE

Description:
The student under discussion is an angry little boy who gets resentful when his teacher feels his work is not "quality" work. The teacher called home to discuss this with his parents and was told by the mother that she thought it was a "personality conflict" even though her son and others have expressed admiration for the teacher. The mother seemed to playing a "blame game" and admitted to taking parenting classes but expressed to the teacher that she really isn't concerned with the quality of her son's work. When the boy came back to school the next day he was unusually friendly with the teacher. The teacher believes this is a "honeymoon stage, but is concerned about what will happen when it is over.
