The teacher has just begun working with a child in one of her language groups for the past month. A call from this child's parent expressed concerns regarding the child's readiness for kindergarten. The child did not qualify for ECSE that would target some of these needs. The parent wanted the teacher to increase her service time to work on pre-academic skills that she is not supposed to do. The teacher offered to give the parent some home activities but the parent stated that she had no time to work with him.
