Situation/Case Study:
TEACHER/COLLEAGUE ISSUE

Description:
I was placed in a situation with another professional who has been in the district for some time that was extremely uncomfortable. As a case manager for speech/language disorder students, I am responsible for all paperwork and maintaining state and federal standards. Due to this experienced teacher's inability to meet specified guidelines, I was required to write a letter to the parents to extend our 30 days for assessment. This is a problem because it does not follow state/federal regulations and results in my being "out of compliance" for guidelines mandated by the state.
