Program: Chemical Dependency Counseling Program Code: (CDC)
Program Faculty:
Johnson

Program Description:
This program of study prepares students to practice the profession of chemical dependency counseling. Students are educated and trained to act as primary case managers for clients receiving chemical dependency treatment.

The State of Minnesota has ruled that persons receiving chemical dependency treatment are potential vulnerable adults. Therefore, all professionals providing services to these persons must pass a criminal background check. Students must also pass this check and comply with the applicable responsible chemical-use protocols for professionals before being allowed to register for any of the practicum/field courses.
