Liturgical spirituality is the spiritual foundation of the Christian community — past, present and future. The biblical and ritual context of this evolving spirituality is discussed from the perspective of the historical tension between the ideal and the real in the community in Christ.
Liturgical spirituality and its possibilities for individual and communal formation into the paschal mystery are critiqued with reference to the present and the future, as well as from an ecumenical perspective.
