Non-Degree Seeking Students
In some graduate programs, students may be allowed to complete coursework as a non-degree seeking student without being formally admitted to the graduate program. A non-degree seeking student:
- is one who plans to complete only one or two courses for personal or professional development, or to evaluate a graduate program prior to applying for admission.
- may complete a maximum of six semester credits as a non-degree student. In order to enroll in additional graduate coursework, the student must complete the full application process through the Office of Graduate Admission and be admitted to the program as a degree-seeking or certificate-seeking student.
- is not eligible for financial assistance.
Non-degree positions are filled on a space-available basis and are subject to graduate program director permission. Contact the Office of Graduate Admission for application information.
