Commencement
Students who have successfully completed all degree requirements as specified by their programs are hooded at the University's graduation ceremony. St. Catherine University holds a graduation ceremony in May and December. The University of St. Thomas holds a graduation ceremony in May.
If you are pursuing both a degree and a certificate simultaneously you participate in commencement after you have completed the requirements for both the certificate and the degree. St. Catherine's graduate students who have not completed all graduation requirements may participate in commencement if the following conditions are met:
DECEMBER COMMENCEMENT — If you have no more than four credits (or one course) remaining to complete all graduation requirements you may participate in the December commencement ceremony, provided the remaining credits will be completed in the spring term following commencement.
MAY COMMENCEMENT — If you have no more than four credits (or one course) remaining to complete all graduation requirements, you may participate in the May commencement ceremony — provided the remaining credits will be completed in the summer session following commencement.
