When does the IRB meet?

The IRB Committee meets to review requests for Level III (FULL) applications. Applications and supporting documents for all Exempt, Expedited and Full review should be sent electronically to Lynne Linder (lelinder@stkate.edu).

Meeting review slots are limited.
Full Reviews will be scheduled based on the order in which they are received.  Once the IRB agenda is full, additional full reviews will be scheduled in the next available IRB meeting.

The IRB will make every effort to review your application in a timely manner. It usually takes two to three weeks to review and respond to exempt and expedited proposals, unless the reviewers have questions for the investigator. Notification regarding the status of an application submitted for full review will be sent approximately one week following the scheduled meeting.

Until you have received written notice that your research has been approved, you may not begin to collect data or interact with human subjects.
