Teacher questions "how far" he should go trying to give students the benefit of the doubt while trying to establish a fair grading policy. He believes that teachers should manipulate the rigidity of the policy in order to give students the longest rope to succeed, yet is not sure about how much flexibility is "healthy" for himself (and the student). Who has the responsibility of student's passing?
