STUDENT/TEACHER/FAMILY ISSUE

Description:
Student is a very bright perfectionist. Student turns in assignment late and receives A- as his grade. Mother comes to complain. Mother argues with the teacher for being unreasonable and unaccommodating to the fact that the student is planning on registering at a very prestigious school in the East and the A- grade is jeopardizing his acceptance. A similar problem existed the year before with the mother and student and the problem was left unresolved. Now the mother's antagonism has festered. Teacher refused to change grade and feels totally unsupported by authoritative figures.
