SYSTEMIC POLICY ISSUE

Description:
Teachers chose to discuss the state graduation rule. Each teacher reported on where they were in the process and how they felt about the rule. The following comments/concerns were raised:

There are problems with the evaluation of the packages. Lower students may be asked to do two packages well rather than three. The requirements may not be fair for ninth graders. Standards help students with the curriculum scope and sequence. What about teachers teaching in their passion areas?
