Business-to-Business Sales Certificates I&II (BUSI)

Program Option: Certificate

SALES CERTIFICATE I: FUNDAMENTALS OF SELLING

To achieve this certificate, the following five courses must be taken:
ACCT 2110 Financial Accounting*
MKTG 2300 Introduction to Marketing* (2 credits)
SALE 2330 Introduction to Selling (2 credits)
SALE 3330 Professional Sales: Customer Centered Selling
COMM 1030 Speaking to Lead and Influence*

*If you have taken a comparable course at another institution, you may substitute other business administration or communication courses with permission of the business administration department.

A maximum of two of these courses may be transferred from another college or satisfied by relevant experience, with permission of the certificate coordinator.

SALES CERTIFICATE II: ADVANCED SELLING
You must have completed all the courses required for sales certificate I before entering certificate II.

Achievement of certificate II includes the following courses:
BUSI 3650 Business Law*
SALE 3630 Ethics and Integrity in Selling (2 credits)
SALE 4430 Advanced Sales: Strategic Account Management
One course in persuasion or negotiation as agreed upon by chair

*If you have taken a comparable course at another institution, you may substitute other business administration or communication courses with permission of the business administration department. ACCT 2130 Managerial Accounting (4 credits) is highly recommended as an alternative.
