The Information Management major offers you a solid professional preparation in the electronic/computer science field. Information professionals hold positions in a wide variety of settings including corporate offices, hospitals, human service organizations, research and development offices, government agencies, and marketing departments. In this major you will learn theory and application tools to enhance skills you may already have, or to move you forward into developing a new skill set. Information managers are concerned about the ethical issues of the technological world. You will have experience in critically analyzing organizations systems. In this field, it is essential that you are able to work independently and with a team, and the program provides you with opportunities to hone skills as an individual or with a team. It prepares you for the global electronic world. This program is offered only in the Weekend College. Interested Day Program students should consult the department chair.

Information management majors satisfy the Writing Requirement for Majors by completing INFM 3200. You complete the Liberal Arts and Sciences Core Writing Requirement with three other writing-intensive courses (CORE 1000 and CORE 3990, and one other writing-intensive course in another department).
