NURS 3700

THE FAMILY AS CLIENT (4 cr.)

This course explores the patterns of knowing in nursing as applied to the family. The theoretical base facilitates empiric, aesthetic, ethical, and personal ways of knowing. Functional health patterns are applied to the family. Theory, clinical, and lab components focus on enhancing skills in the development of therapeutic relationships and nursing care of the family as client. Prerequisites: NURS 3200, 3300. Co-requisites: NURS 3600.
