FOUNDATIONS OF LIBRARY SERVICE: THE URBAN LENS (2 cr.)
This course is an introduction to the history, philosophy and principles of service in the American public library. Analyses of the role public libraries play in urban communities. Examination of competencies required for library careers. Six hours per week of practicum in computer applications in libraries required. Prerequisites: Urban Library Program students only.
