Community Work and Learning
Community Work and Learning supports students to engage in reflective social justice work in the community. The office partners with departments to integrate community work and learning into academic work. Community Work and Learning seeks to create mutually beneficial partnerships between St. Catherine University and diverse external communities to meet real needs. Students utilize their knowledge and skills for the benefit of the community but also grow and develop their academic, professional and personal skills. The office is a resource for students to engage in community-based academic course work, to be paid to work within two off-campus student employment programs: America Reads and Community Leadership Program and to get involved in educational programming around social justice including volunteer and internship opportunities.
