Getting Ready for your "Inside St. Kate's" Event
We are looking forward to meeting you at an upcoming "Inside St. Kate's" event. Academic advisers will be on hand to answer your questions and help you with registration.
Before the event, you need to do some "homework." Follow the steps below to create a list of courses you would like to take fall semester.
Rest assured that an academic advisor will review your selections prior to registering you for classes. Completing a course selection form gives you an introduction to degree requirements and lets us know what kinds of classes you'd like. |  | |

STEP TWO: Do I know my major?

Some majors require that you take very specific courses your first semester or that you get started on supporting courses right away. Check here to see what is suggested for your major. If courses are listed, write them on your course selection form.

STEP THREE: A liberal arts education
A St. Kate's education is more than your major. We've identified areas of education that everyone needs to cover. Select interesting courses from this area and write them on your course selection form.

LAST, but not least: Choosing some electives...
In addition to your core and major requirements, you'll need some elective courses to round out your education. Anything can be an elective. Choose from this list, or go back and add some that you saw before. Write the courses that interest you on your course selection form.

At this point, you should have a Course Selection form with a list of 8-10 courses. Bring it with you to your scheduled "Inside St. Kate's" event . We know you still have questions so bring those, too!

| If you've been invited to participate in the Honors program: | Be sure to reply accepting your invitation to honors. We'll register you for an Honors section of The Reflective Woman. |
| If you've been accepted as part of the LEAP program: | We'll register you for a learning community class paired with The Reflective Woman. You only need to select 4 or 5 courses on your Course Selection form. |
