Alumnae Assist in Recruitment and Passing the Torch
TOP TEN WAYS to RECRUIT NEW KATIES!
1 Talk to your daughters (granddaughters, nieces, or grandnieces) or friends' daughters about what you liked about your education at St. Kate's and why you think a liberal arts education, especially at an all-women's college, can help young women jumpstart their paths to their careers and self-development. Offer to supply an alumnae referral scholarship. Please refer our Admissions Department to them, so they can contact them and begin a relationship! Click here for an Admissions referral form.

2 Invite friends or relatives to come to a campus event (such as at O'Shaughnessy, the art gallery, theater, or chapel, or to a speaker or an alumnae or Leadership Institute event at Coeur de Catherine) and bring their high school daughters.
3 Talk to your friends and co-workers about the WEC program. Invite or refer them to an on-campus event, especially one of the speakers for the Women of Substance program, Leadership Institute, International Institute of Women Entrepreneurs (IIWE), Centers for Excellence, Alumnae Assocation's Evening Scholar, or continuing education programs. If allowed, post a College of St. Catherine brochure or Leadership Institute events notices on your company bulletin board or in your breakroom. Let people know that you went there.
4 Put a notice in your parish bulletin for women considering an education to consider St. Catherine's and offer to provide an alumnae referral scholarship. Be a parish contact for anyone who wants to hear more.
5 Contact your local high school and offer to be an informational contact for any girl who has questions about St. Catherine's or would like a tour. Or you could offer to do a career presentation to youth, weaving in how your experiences at St. Catherine's assisted you in your professional and personal development. In fact, you can weave this in any appropriate public presentation!
6 Take a look at the various summer programs held on the campus for young girls (STEM, sports camps, music ministry) and talk to the parents of young girls or to the girls themselves about considering attending one.
7 Pass along your read copy of SCAN or leave it somewhere in your parish or workplace if permitted. Email to friends or make web links from your professional and personal sites to any interesting news items that appear on:
8 Talk to the company you work for about sponsoring a table or some tickets for a Leadership Institute Women's Forum speaker, Our Northern Stars Breakfast, Women of Substance, or other compelling programs at CSC.
9 Take a potential KATIE to one of the WILDCAT sports events or to a workout session at the Butler Fitness Center -- or to lunch to one of your favorite Highland places when you went to CSC-Cecil's/Carbone's/Tiffanys and talk about "college days".
10 Offer a potential KATIE as a gift a CSC women's choir CD, or a book written by a CSC faculty on a topic of interest, or St. Kate's sweatshirt or t-shirt.
If you have other suggestions or stories about ways you have passed on the CSC legacy, let us know!
