Thurs., Sept. 11, 2008		ST. CLOUD Chapter The Creative Memories Company Tour, September 11, 2008, was fascinating, even for those not deeply "into" scrapbooking. Alumnae met the co-founder of the company, Rhonda Anderson and heard her story. The company concept, mission, and co-founders came together in 1987 when Rhonda made an after-hours phone call from Montana, where she lived, to a St. Cloud-based stationery and album manufacturer to order 40 albums for herself, family members, and friends to decorate and assemble with photos. Fortunately, the call was taken by a company executive, Cheryl Lightle, and in their conversation, the venture of building a company around teaching people how to creatively preserve their memories and offering them the products to make it easy and beautiful was born.








Sat., Aug. 30, 2008		SAN FRANCISCO Chapter Twins vs. A's Baseball Game & Tailgating McAfee Coliseum, Oakland Since 1991, the University of Minnesota Bay Area Chapter has had a tailgate party when the MN Twins played the Oakland A's. This year, they invited other Minnesota colleges and universities to join them. It was a fun afternoon for Katies and our guests as we mingled with U of MN alumni during the tailgate. Our seats for the evening game were right along the first base line behind the Twins bull-pen, so got a great view during warm-up pitching and Cretin alumni Catcher Joe Mauer suiting up! It was a 3-2 Twins loss in the bottom of the 9th.


Sun., Jan. 13, 2008		BOSTON, MA Chapter Cheered for the CSC Hockey Team as it played MIT for a 3-0 Win!
