CALLING ALL ALUMNAE

Notice of Special Meeting
to Establish New Name
for the Alumnae Association
Saturday, December 5, 2009, 6:30 p.m.
(Part of the Home for the Holidays gathering)
St. Catherine University, Rauenhorst Hall, Coeur de Catherine

Board Recommendation
for Alumnae Association Name
As the College of St. Catherine made the transition to St. Catherine University, the Board of Directors of the College of St. Catherine Alumnae Association recommended a new name for the Association. The process requires the board to recommend a new name and request approval of alumnae at a special meeting. The Special Meeting will be held during the Home for the Holidays celebration on Saturday, December 5, 2009.The Special Meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Rauenhorst Hall, Coeur de Catherine, St. Catherine University, 2004 Randolph Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55105.
The Alumnae Association Board of Directors recommends acceptance of the following:
That St. Catherine University Alumnae Association becomes the name of the Association.
If approved, the new name will be used beginning on January 1, 2010. Also, if the name is approved, all references to the Alumnae Association in the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the College of St. Catherine Alumnae Association will be changed to St. Catherine University Alumnae Association.
In choosing this name the following process was followed. Board members developed a very long list of possible names, solicited more names from all alumnae in person and electronically, and then narrowed the number of choices to 11. The 11 possible names were sent to alumnae outside the Twin Cities with the mailing of raffle tickets and ballots before the May 11, 2009, Annual Meeting. Name preferences among the 11 choices were solicited from alumnae attending the Annual Meeting and, also, from those attending both Reunion I on June 5 and 6, and Reunion II, June 18 to 21. Members of the Alumnae Association Board considered all names and suggestions from all these sources and, at the October 13, 2009, board meeting, approved the new name to bring to the membership vote.
BALLOT FOR NAME OF ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION

If you cannot attend the Special Meeting on Saturday, December 5, 2009, you can email usyour response to the name selected December 5. Please inform us of the following:

I cannot attend the Special Meeting.

Recommendation from the Alumnae Association Board to members:
That St. Catherine University Alumnae Association
becomes the name of the Association.
Yes, I agree. No, I disagree.
