Getting Together
for FUN!
Anytime you travel or move to a new city, check in with the Alumnae Office to find about other Katies in the area. They can give you the scoop on the best places to worship, doctors and dentists, moms’ playgroups, etc.
Or you may want to join the Chapter near you. These chapters are organized by volunteer alumnae, and they get together for socializers and educational events. For more information, contact Christine Klejbuk '71 at
In the Twin Cities area, we host events noted in the monthly EVENTS CALENDAR and Katies Connecting, Thursday night socializers that vary in location and nature from a happy hour to an art tour to a professional mixer.
Class Reunions
Of course, the highlights of each summer are the class reunions!
Every year, the Alumnae Association sponsors, with the help of class volunteers, reunions for classes whose years end in two specific numbers (ie. those ending in 0 & 5; 1 & 6; 2 & 7; 3 & 8; 4 & 9). Get involved in your class!
We even offer commemorative gifts and memorabilia, created specifically by CSC artists (alumnae, present and former staff), such as the Peter Lupori Christmas ornaments, pins and charms; Second Century Scarves designed by Mary Kay Crowley O’Loughlin ‘66, posters, note cards, and prints.
| | Keeping in Touch
and Spreading News
Keep us posted of your mailing and emailing addresses, and we’ll keep you posted on all the opportunities and services available to you through:
Finding Your Friends
If you’ve lost track of a classmate, let us know, and we’ll help you find her or him!
But we protect your privacy. We do not sell, loan, borrow, or share your personal information, and we do not provide it to those who are not alumnae/i. If non-alumnae/i seek to contact you, we get their information and provide it to you, so you can decide whether or not to make contact.

Enriching and Expanding Your Life
Speakers
Who doesn’t want to be kept abreast of the latest news in books, careers, art trends, travel, etc.? We will help you do this through our programs, such as the Lifelong Learning team’s Evening Scholar speakers and events, which bring in exciting presenters on history, faith, culture, and current events.
Books
We also sponsor the annual January Conversation with Books event, where we provide a booklist and thoughtful discussion of the latest in adult books, and the fall Booked for the Evening, that centers on books for children and young adults. Also, chapters can form their own book clubs! And you can get your own alumnae library card for free.
Travel & the Arts
We alert you to alumnae travel opportunities and when you are traveling on your own, if you contact us, we can link you up to alumnae in various places you plan to visit. We keep you posted on campus happenings in the arts and provide discounts on some O'Shaughnessy performances.
Faith
For faith and spiritual growth, we let you know about speakers, retreats, and programs offered by CSC staff and the CSJs, Celeste’s Dream Spirituality Center (specifically for ages 20-35), and Wisdom Ways Spirituality Center.
Fitness
To keep up healthy habits, you can purchase an Alumnae Membership to the Butler Fitness Center. With a Butler Center membership, you have access to the whirlpool, sauna, pool, weight room, cardiovascular workout equipment, racketball courts, and gymnasium, as well as their intermural sports and classes in yoga, aerobics, and pilates. Take a virtual tour.
| | Nurturing Your Career and Finances
When you are looking for a job, we're here to help! There are many career services available to you through a partnership with the Career Development Department
In addition to what the Career Development Department does, we help you grow in your professional careers by inviting you to come back for the on-campus events, workshops, and career fairs and linking you with alumnae further along in your career path, through alumnae-to-alumnae Jobs Connection.
We also hook you up with academic, professional, and leadership growth opportunities through the graduate study department, Leadership Institute, and International Institute for Women (IIWE).
Later, you can help students and other alumnae through similar networking and linking opportunities through CareerLink and alumnae shadowing and mentoring programs.
We also provide periodic financial planning seminars and other finance opportunities to keep your bottom line healthy too.
Supporting Each Other
The Alumnae Association also sponsors;
- Home & Family Groups,a support system for CSC moms, and
- International and Multi-Cultural Alumnae Group(IMAG), to provide that CSC family strength in the world at large.
The Alumnae Association encourages alumnae to assist international students in their transition to CSC through the Friendship Family program.
Weddings and Memorials
No CSC graduate can forget Our Lady of Victory Chapel. That is why so many alumnae have their weddings there.
In addition, we sponsor twice a year Memorial Services for all the alumnae and CSC staff who have died. |
Passing It On
Within our alumnae community, there is a deep generosity of spirit and the urge to give back to others: the college and students, their communities, and the world, making it a better place.
We invite alumnae to support us in recruiting potential Katies and to come back to the campuses for volunteer opportunities with students and other alumnae. You can mentor students, welcome new graduates, serve on alumnae boards, organize a local chapter, or help with a reunion. We also allow you to post a call for volunteers to help in your projects wherever they are -- in the Twin Cities, chapter areas, the world. We all want to use what we have been given to make a positive difference with our lives!
Giving Others Opportunities
We offer alumnae/i chances to support the college and students with the Annual and Capital Campaigns, and Scholarship Donations. These contributions are absolutely essential to the continuing health of the college, keeping it strong in this second century. So don’t forget your alma mater and the students who follow as you progress through life!
We know how CSC moms want to pass on the rich education they received to their daughters. We help them with the Dupli-Kate Scholarships -- significant tuition breaks!. We also provide scholarships to students referred to CSC by alumnae! | | Honoring Great Alumna/i
Always inspired by the contributions of our alumnae to the college and the world, we honor outstanding individuals exemplifying service, leadership, and excellence with annual St. Catherine Alumnae Awards.
Whether you receive an award or not, we know that you have the making of a great alumna/i. We’re so glad you are part of our community, and we hope to see and hear from you often!
