Thursday, June 19 -- Settle in to Celebrate Our Campus and Impressive Alumnae
Afternoon
Noon to 8:00 p.m.: Registration opens at Reunion Headquarters -- Coeur de Catherine, main floor west, Centers of Excellence Rooms;
3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. HISTORICAL WALKING TOUR of College of St. Catherine, "An Architectural Gem"
Meet at the main floor coffee shop (just past the registration rooms) in Coeur de Catherine to begin this fascinating tour. Gain a greater knowledge and appreciation of our historic buildings with architectural historian Larry Millett.
Well-known author (Lost Twin Cities), TV commentator, and former architecture critic for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Millett has devoted more than a quarter century to studying and analyzing cities and architecture. His interest in the architecture of the buildings of the College of St. Catherine will provide fascinating insight into the function, development, and style of the campus. Millett’s latest book, AIA Guide to the Twin Cities: The Essential Source on the Architecture of Minneapolis and St. Paul, 2007, has just been published.
Tour number is limited. This program was developed by the Alumnae Association Lifelong Learning Committee.

6:15 p.m. ST. CATHERINE ALUMNAE AWARDS CEREMONY AND RECEPTION
Come and you will be inspired by the incredible lives of service and leadership of your fellow alumnae. The ceremony will be held in the third floor Rauenhorst Hall in Coeur de Catherine. Friday, June 20 -- A Day of Reflection and Intellectual Stimulation with Friends
Morning

You can choose three morning programs or the motor coach tour.

8:45 a.m. to 10:00 SPIRITUALITY: Where Are You on Your Spiritual Journey?
This course is taught by Edward C. Sellner, Ph.D., professor of pastoral theology and spirituality at the College of St. Catherine where he has taught graduate and undergraduate courses for the past 26 years. Recipient of one of the 2007 Myser Faculty Appreciation Awards, Sellner is speaker and author on Christian spirituality, mentoring, and Celtic spirituality.
10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. HOLISTIC HEALTH
Join a member of the faculty from the Holistic Health MA Program to explore ways to bring positive benefits to your mind, body, and spirit.
11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. MEMOIR WRITING: A Life's Plot
This is not a class just for writers -- it's for anyone! Writing can be a way of talking to oneself and sifting out the meaningful elements of our lives. Please bring a notebook and writing implements, a significant photograph or postcard, and a small object of signicance.
Marybeth Lorbiecki ’81 will guide participants in some writing exercises to get the juices flowing. We will talk about options in memoir writing, do some writing, some sharing (if desired), and talking about what to do next. 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. TWIN CITIES GUIDED MOTOR COACH TOUR
The tour group meets at the lower level, east door of Coeur de Catherine. The tour will take participants to the newest sites in the Twin Cities, including the Guthrie Theater building, the Walker Art Center and Sculpture Garden, the new Minneapolis Public Library and visits the historic and beloved areas of the Minneapolis lakes, downtowns St. Paul and Minneapolis, and historic Summit Avenue.
Luncheon
11:30 a.m. -12:45 p.m. BUFFET LUNCH
Come whenever you complete your morning activity (unless you are from the Class of 1948, or are a nurse from the classes of 1953 or 1958) to the Coeur de Catherine Rauenhorst Hall.
CLASS OF 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. for a special luncheon in the President's Dining Room, Room 372, Third Floor of Coeur de Catherine. Class members will receive a separate invitation for this class luncheon. If for some reason you did not receive this invitation, please contact the Alumnae Association office.
CLASSES OF 1953 NURSES and 1958 NURSES: will have 11:30 a.m. tour and lunch at St. Joseph’s Hospital:
- 11:30 a.m. -- Meet in St. Joseph's Hospital Lobby
- 12:00 noon -- Mass in St. Joseph's Hospital Chapel
- 12:30 p.m. -- Brief Tour of CyberKnife Center
- 12:45 p.m. -- Lunch, provided by St. Joseph's
- 1:45 p.m. -- Information and possible tour of St. Joseph's Hospital Building Project
- 2:00 p.m. -- Visit to the St. Joseph's Hospital Archives Room (North Wing)
FREE Parking: 10th Street Ramp. Bring your parking tickets with you and we can validate them for you for Free Parking. Otherwise, valet parking will be available at the front entrance on Exchange Street for the $3 fee.

Afternoon
1:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. ACADEMIC TOUR OF THE CAMPUS
With the group or on your own, take a walk around the campus and hear first-hand from department representatives the main focus of the academic programs in each building.
Group starts from the main library entrance, Coeur de Catherine. Registration in Coeur de Catherine Centers of Excellence.
Explanations will be given at 15-minute intervals in the following locations:
- Library and Library Science Areas
- Fontbonne: Business Administration Department Specialties, Family, Consumer, and Nutritional Sciences program in the lower level
- Whitby Hall: Liberal Arts Programs; School of Health, Nursing labs and programs in the lower level
- Mendell Hall: Science and Education programs
The Catherine G. Murphy Art Gallery will be open with exhibits and the Butler Center for Sports and Fitness will be open for use but will not have any specific tours.
What residence halls do you want to see? Please indicate your preferences on your registration form, and we will make arrangements.
The campus grounds are already looking wonderful and spots like the rose garden, the Dew Drop, and the English Garden will be beautiful to visit in June.

9:45 a.m. REUNION MASS AND 50th YEAR CLASS PROCESSION
Class of 1958, Alumnae Celebration Choir, musicians, and liturgical dancers celebrate at Our Lady of Victory Chapel. Class of 1958 will be presented with their traditional 50-year pins during Reunion Mass in the Chapel.

Join classmates and their families at a barbeque and old-fashioned picnic on The O’Shaughnessy quadrangle; planned especially for 5, 10, 15-year classes but all are welcome. Come rain or shine – if it rains we will use indoor space.

GENERAL INFORMATION
CLASS PHOTOGRAPHS
The photo for the 50-year class (1958) will be taken at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The photo for the 25-year class (1983) will be taken before the Saturday afternoon pinning ceremony. You may wish to take candid group photos during the Friday evening class gatherings or at lunch on Saturday.
ELECTION OF CLASS LEADERSHIP MEMBERS
New class leadership team members will be elected for the next five years during Reunion Weekend. Class leadership team elections will be held during the Friday evening parties.
ALUMNAE AUTHORS: We would love to have a display of books for the weekend. If you have a published book send one copy for the “Authors’ Table.” With a copy of the book, please send information about where the book can be obtained.
Books need to be sent to the Alumnae Association office, 2004 Randolph Ave., #F-33, St. Paul, Minnesota 55105, by Friday, June 13. After Reunion, books can be left with the Alumnae Association or will be returned, if requested. For more information, contact:
RECREATION AND FITNESS
The Aimee and Patrick Butler Center for Sports and Fitness, which offers the use of the gymnasium, racquetball courts, running track, weight room, and cardiovascular equipment will be open during Reunion Weekend. Hours will be available in the schedule for Reunion Weekend.
Pool hours will vary on Friday and Saturday. Call 651-690-8777 for exact times.
The Reunion nametag is the I.D. on Reunion Weekend to admit the alumna and her family to the Butler Center.
BOOKSTORE HOURS
The Coeur de Catherine Bookstore, with plenty of memorabilia merchandise, will offer
convenient hours for shopping.
FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE
DINING
Coeur de Catherine dining facilities will open at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings so reunion participants can purchase breakfast if they desire.
HOUSING
Returning alumnae may make reservations for overnight accommodations on campus.
You will be staying in a new residence hall. One set of linens and towels are provided. Most rooms have two single beds. Spouses are welcome. Rooms are available from Wednesday through checkout time at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. If you are arriving earlier than Wednesday or wishing to extend your stay, special arrangements can be made.
SHUTTLE INFORMATION
The Alumnae Association will operate courtesy shuttle service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Reunion weekend. The shuttle will pick up and drop off approximately every 15 minutes at the bus shelter in the northwest section of The O’Shaughnessy parking lot off Fairview Avenue. The shuttle will stop at various locations on campus, including Coeur de Catherine, Our Lady of Victory Chapel and Derham Hall.

STORING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR AREA ATTENDEES
If local metropolitan-area reunion attendees wish to change before dinner, we can provide
space for storing attire and a room for changing in the late afternoon on Saturday.
HOTELS
A list of hotels in the area is available upon request from the Alumnae Association office, or click on: Discounted Hotel Rates in the Twin Cities. The Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC) have developed agreements with a variety of local hotels for alumnae and guests of the College.
