Store to Door This Minneapolis nonprofit organization is dedicated to offering grocery shopping and prescription delivery services to the frail, elderly, and disabled to support their independent living. For more information, you can visit: www.storetodoor.org	Store to Door needs volunteers to call clients ("I am a caller" says Laura Hill MLIS '96 who encourages other alum to volunteer) and enter their order online website. This is great for someone who is able to use a computer and talk on the phone at the same time!! Reportedly there are order-taking volunteers who actually live in other states. Store to Door also needs volunteer shoppers, who fill and deliver orders. Shoppers meet at 6 a.m. at certain Twin Cities Cub stores, armed with print-outs of the orders from clients.

Risen Christ School is a catholic school in south Mpls that serves a predominately poor, ethnically diverse population.  Volunteers are needed throughout the school year.  The following are our current volunteer opportunities.  I appreciate your help in recruiting volunteers to fill our positions. BOOK BUDDY - Help students acquire English through reading identical books in Spanish and English.  Needed Wednesday's from 1-3pm. STUDENT COACH - Provide regular ongoing coaching to female student in need of assistance with academics and organizational skills.
ST. MARY’S HEALTH CLINICS: VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED	Ongoing We operate at nine sites weekly, Monday through Thursday afternoons/evenings. Locations are in the Twin Cities and near suburbs.	Volunteer nurses, registration staff, interpreters, and drivers are needed.	Interested in volunteering or want more information, please contact Janis at 651-690-7071.	St. Mary’s Health Clinics provides FREE primary health care to the financially needy and uninsured in donated space. We work to make everyone welcome, and we need help to do this, with people willing to drive, interpret, register patients, and provide them nursing and medical services. If you have time on weekday afternoons and evenings, we could use you to care for those who have few means to access medical care otherwise.
CENTER FOR WOMEN, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (CWST) SEEKS PRESENTERS AND MENTORS		Calling all alumnae working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)!	Visit www.stkate.edu/scitech. We need presenters at career exploration events and e-mentors for high school and CSC students. Women's Prison Book Project: Open and fill book requests from women in prison. Volunteers are always needed, but especially in the summer. Living at Home/Block Nurse Programs in Twin Cities neighborhoods	Year Round		To find the program closest to your home or work, go to www.elderberry.org. Monica Gallagher, a former volunteer while attending St. Kate’s, is currently Service/Volunteer Dir for the Hamline Midway Elders Program.	Volunteers are needed for friendly visiting, rides to medical appointments, shopping, gardening, shoveling, Board participation, fundraising, and more.  Individuals, families, and groups welcome. 1-time and long-term commitments.
