Lifelong Learning

Lifelong Learning header photoLearning is a lifelong journey, and what better place to continue on this journey than at St. Catherine University. Alumnae Relations and the College of Applied and Continuing Learning work throughout the year to provide classroom and traveling enrichment opportunities for alumnae and guests, many times highlighting the expertise of the University's faculty and alumnae.

We offer the following opportunities:

Classes and Programs: Join alumnae and guests during the academic year for classes and programs on topics providing educational, enrichment opportunities featuring St. Catherine University alumnae and faculty. Class topics cover the traditional liberal arts areas of arts, science, literature and current events. New topics this year will address career development and life transition issues. While most classes are held on campus, classes and programs are periodically held off campus in the greater Twin Cities suburbs.

Traveling Scholar: Join alumnae and guests for a program, a day, or the entire trip, as Lifelong Learning trips are offered annually with a special St. Catherine feature: a faculty lecture, an alumna-led tour, a celebration of the University’s heritage.  Traveling Scholar trips have been from one day to four days.

Summer Chautauqua: A new program, launched in 2011, providing a series of lifelong learning classes and events for all on our St. Paul campus during August. Topics cover a variety of educational, artistic, spiritual and recreational areas.
