Wildcat softball drops pair at St. Olaf
April 19, 2007 – The College of St. Catherine softball team lost both games of a double header this afternoon against St. Olaf College.

The Oles got on the board quick in game one, scoring two runs on three hits off of Wildcat starter Kayla Webster (Fy., Billings, Mont.). Things got worse for the Wildcats in the second when the Oles added eight more runs on five hits to make it 10-0.

The Wildcats were unable to solve Ole starting pitcher Jenny Beiersdorf, ending the game with just five hits in the 10-0 loss.

It looked like the Wildcats would salvage a split in game two, taking a 6-4 win into the bottom of the seventh inning. But it was not to be as the Oles turned 2 hits and one Wildcat error into three runs and a sweep in the MIAC match-up.

The Wildcats will be back in action when they play host to Gustavus on Saturday afternoon.
