Wildcat soccer opens season with 0-0 tie
August 31, 2007 - The College of St. Catherine soccer team started their 2007 season this afternoon against St. Scholastica in the Advantage Emblem Cup. Ninety-minutes of regulation and two overtimes were not enough to decide a winner and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

The Wildcats were out-shot by St. Scholastica 21-14 for the game. “I am very pleased with the way we played in our opening game, they are a very good team and we defended extremely well,” stated Wildcat head coach Steve Bellis. “We did a lot of things that we can build on and we got some very good performances from our first-year players,” added Bellis.

The Wildcats will resume action tomorrow against Northland College.
