Meissner finished third in pentathlon, named All-Conference
March 1, 2007 – The College of St. Catherine’s Sarah Meissner finished third in the pentathlon at Thursday’s MIAC championship track and field meet. With the third place finish Meissner also secures a position as a member of the All-Conference team.

Meissner had a great day overall, finishing second in the 55 meter hurdles, long jump and the 800 meters. In addition, she set a new personal record in both the shot put and long jump.

“Sarah had a great day yesterday, she continues to get better every meet,” stated Wildcat head coach Mike Henderson. “I am hoping that we get a few more athletes on the All-Conference team after tomorrow as well,” added Henderson.

The second day of the MIAC track and field championships are scheduled for tomorrow. The meet is hosted by St. Olaf College in Northfield.
