Wildcat track and field competes in season opener
January 27, 2007 – The College of St. Catherine track and field team competed in their season opening meet on Saturday afternoon at UW-Stout. The nine team meet was not team scored.

The Wildcats competed hard and the 2007 season got off to a good start for the young Wildcats. Individually, the Wildcats had several athletes who placed in the top eight. Greta Sieve (Fy., New Ulm, Minn.) finished 8th in the 800 and Chi Chi Obi (so., Woodbury, Minn.) finished 8th in the long jump. Seanna Graham (Fy., Shoreview, Minn.) finished 4th in the high jump with a jump of 1.49m. In addition, the 4 X 400 team finished 5th, finishing in a time of 4:27.65.

“The first meet of the season is always a learning experience and I think we are in a good position as we look toward the rest of the season,” stated Wildcat head coach Mike Henderson. “We competed hard today, ran several good races and we will continue to build as we move forward,” added Henderson.
