Wildcat tennis defeats Saint Mary’s 5-4
March 16, 2007 – The College of St. Catherine tennis team went home with a hard fought victory over Saint Mary’s University on Friday evening. The Wildcats came out on the winning side of three, three-set matches to grab the conference win.

The Wildcats got singles victories in four of the six singles matches. Wildcats who won their singles matches include, Shelly Bebler (Sr., Wells, Minn.), Jenna Olson (Fy., Pine City, Minn.), Abby Deytein-Carlson (Sr., Hastings, Minn.) and Rikki Peach (Fy., Billings, Mont.).

“Today was a great win for this team, they had to battle throughout and it showed that these girls can win close matches,” stated Wildcat head coach PJ Priest.

The Wildcat tennis team will be making a trip to Orlando, Florida tomorrow where they will play six matches before returning back to MIAC play on March 31 against Carleton.
