Career Development

Know Yourself

“What do I want to be or do?” Many students visit the career office looking for assistance in determining a major/program or deciding on a career path. To assist students in making the best possible decision for their individual circumstances, career counseling may begin with a conversation and/or assessments that are aimed at helping a student clarify their values, goals, skills, interests, personality preferences and personal or financial obligations.

The Career Development Office offers the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator free of charge to current students to assist them in making career-related decisions. Please schedule an appointment with a career counselor to help determine if either of the assessments will be helpful for your particular situation.
