The Centers of Excellence
are networks of learning that link
to re-imagine and transform education for women.
The Centers of Excellence are based on four themes, Economic Justice and Public Policy, Spirituality, Health, and Science and Technology. Since 2000 the Centers have promoted opportunities for students to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty and community partners, focusing on issues that face women locally, nationally and internationally. Following the Six Educational Commitments, the Centers of Excellence support innovative teaching and research in order to broaden understanding, stimulate action and affect change.
The Centers of Excellence support research and curricular work through several grant programs for CSC faculty, staff and students, administer the Assistantship Mentoring Program in collaboration with the Student Center and Activities Office, and facilitate many educational events.
