Catering


We want to make sure that planning your catered event is just as easy as enjoying your favorite meal. If you do not have a catering guide of menu choices, please call Melissa Hickman at (651) 690-6900 or x6900 (on campus) and a guide with prices will be sent to you. Melissa may also assist you with menu planning and service questions.

There are a few important steps involved to ensure that your reservations and billing are processed efficiently and accurately.

Fair trade coffee may be ordered for any of your events. Organic Menu Options and Organic Items are available to enhance your event!  Please contact the Catering Department x6900 for additional information. 

Please use the links below to begin your planning.

Reservations

In order to make your arrangements as smooth and convenient as possible, please take the following three steps:

    1. Decide what type of event you wish to have:


    Informal beverage and meal service:
    Disposable paper products.

    Formal beverage and meal service:
    China, glassware, skirted tables. (There may be an additional charge for this service depending on the number of guests and location.)
     

    2. Reserve the room.

    This should be done through Meeting and Event Services. Please call them at (651) 690-6861 or e-mail at:
    mes@stkate.edu.
     

    3. Plan for your food and beverage needs.

    No later than two weeks before the event, contact the Campus Catering Office, (651) 690-6900 or (651) 690-6923.

    You may also submit using the
    online reservation form (requires CSC login). If you need some help planning all the catering details of your event, call Campus Catering.

    Campus Catering will send you written confirmation of your event within three working days of receiving your final arrangements.

 
Late Reservations

In order to ensure product and staff availability, your reservation and service details (menus included) should be finalized five working days before the day of your event.

For late reservations, less than five working days prior to the event, approval must be obtained from the Catering Director. There may be additional charges for catering requests placed with less than three working days notice.

 
Guarantee

We require a final count three working days before an event. This count is your guaranteed number. On the final billing, you will be charged for the guaranteed number, or the actual attendance, whichever is greater.

 
Attendant Charges

To ensure that your event is a success, catering attendants will be provided for all served meals and buffets during the first one-and-one-half hours of your event at no additional cost. If additional time or number of attendants are desired, attendants are available for an additional fee per hour per server.

 
Billing

All campus groups will need to submit a department budget number before services are rendered.

All noncampus clients having events for more than 100 people are required to pay 50 percent the total invoice one month prior to the event. An invoice for the remaining charges will be sent to off campus clients after the event. Payment is to be made to the College of St. Catherine within 30 days.
