What is Financial Aid?
Financial aid is money made available by the federal government, state government and St. Catherine University. It is awarded based on a student's eligibility and demonstration of financial need. Money that comes from a private source in the form of a
scholarship is awarded based on a student's academic and sometimes community achievements.
What does the Financial Aid Office do?
The Financial Aid Office assists students in applying for aid from federal and state governments
and from St. Catherine. Financial aid advisors are available to assist students with the
application process,
money management guidance and
sensible borrowing. The office can also help students find either
on- or off-campus employment.
General application guidelines
To receive student financial aid, you must complete a
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year, as well as a
St. Kate's Application for Financial Aid. File both as soon after January 1 of the upcoming academic year as possible.
