Summer Billing & Payment
Billing & Payment:
All students enrolled for Summer 2013 will receive a billing statement electronically on KatePay on the first of each month.
Payments may be made by mail, through KatePay, or in person at the Student Accounts Office.
Tuition must be paid in full by the end of the first week of class for each summer session:
Friday, June 7, 2013: tuition is due for Summer Session One and Summer Full Term courses
Friday, July 12, 2013: tuition is due for Summer Session Two courses
Whole or partial tuition refunds (due to withdrawal) are available for a very limited period due to the short duration of summer courses. To review the summer refund schedule, visit the Student Accounts page for specific deadlines and policies.
On-campus summer housing charges will automatically be charged to your student account on the first day of each month of occupancy and are due on that day.
A 1% finance charge will be assessed on any unpaid account balance at the end of each month, beginning on Friday, June 28, 2013.
Summer Aid Awarding & Disbursement
The Summer 2013 Term runs from June 3 - August 9, 2013. Students may enroll in full-term courses (10 weeks), or partial-term courses (5-week Summer Sessions One and Two in St. Paul, 7-week Summer Session One and 5-week Summer Session Two in Minneapolis). Financial aid eligibility is based on your combined enrollment for all full-term and partial-term courses.
Your initial award is based on the anticipated enrollment provided on your summer aid application. A change in your actual enrollment may result in a change to your total aid.
For maximum aid eligibility, register for all summer courses by June 5, 2013. Courses added after this date may not be eligible for all types of financial aid. In addition, you must submit a 2012-13 FAFSA by June 30, 2013 in order to be eligible for Minnesota State Grant and any federal aid programs, including loans.
Financial aid for students registered for any full-term or Summer Session One courses will be disbursed to your account the first week in June. Financial aid for students who are only registered for courses in Summer Session Two will disburse in early July.

The types of loans you are eligible for during summer may be limited due to the amount already borrowed during the regular academic year. Once you have reviewed the loans available on your summer aid award and used the Cost Estimation Worksheet
to calculate how much you will need to borrow, you can complete the loan process for summer using the Apply for Loans
menu to the left. (Be sure to use the links for Summer 2013 authorizations on each page.)
