Adding and Dropping Courses
You may add or drop courses online until the posted deadline. You may add a course after the deadline with instructor approval or drop courses through the Registrar's Office.
The academic calendars contain the deadlines for dropping a course without notation on the transcript. Courses dropped between that day and the last day to withdraw result in a W (Withdrawal) notation on the transcript. Courses dropped after the last day to withdraw automatically receive an F grade.
You are financially responsible for every course for which you register; the amount of tuition refunded for a dropped course is established by deadlines found in the "Summary of Financial Procedures" distributed by the Student Accounts Office and available online. You are expected to read this publication and adhere to the published deadlines.
Nonattendance does not constitute official withdrawal from a course; if you fail to withdraw properly or officially you may receive a failing grade for the course. Attendance does not constitute enrollment in a course without official registration. You must register for a course to be eligible to attend class and receive a grade.
