NURS 8610
Systems Change Practicum Part One
Credits: 2 cr.
Course Description:
Your systems change project is the culmination of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) curriculum. This project involves a systems level change in nursing practice, education, and/or service designed to improve the outcomes of a specific population. You will synthesize the knowledge you have acquired in previous DNP courses and practicum experiences in this project. Your systems change project is planned, developed, implemented and evaluated in collaboration with your project committee comprised of your faculty project advisor, faculty reader and site mentor. This course must be followed by NURS 8620.
NOTE: You may complete the Systems Change Practicum by taking NURS 8600 once for four credits, or by taking NURS 8610 and 8620 two consecutive semesters for two credits each. (See NURS 8600 for other options for course completion.)
Prerequisites:
You may begin this two-course sequence after NURS 8520 and must end it with or after NURS 8540.
