Financial Aid Information
Financial aid offices at the College of St. Catherine and the University of St. Thomas process financial aid applications:
The College of St. Catherine, (651) 690-6540.
This office processes all applications for students in the DPT, MAED, MAHS, MANU, MAOL, MAOT, MAT and MLIS programs.
The University of St. Thomas, (651) 962-6550.
This office processes all applications for students in the MSW program. These offices can answer applicants’ questions and address requests for scholarships, grants, loans or student employment. Most financial aid programs require students to be enrolled at least half time.
Applicants planning to apply for financial aid should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and any other institutional financial aid applications. These should be completed as soon as possible before the beginning of the academic year or prior to the time the applicant is admitted to the program. Financial aid is awarded on an annual basis and students must reapply each year.
LOANS
The Subsidized Federal Stafford Loan provides low-interest loans for graduate study. Repayment is deferred until after the student graduates.
The Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan for Middle Income Borrowers provides low-interest loans for graduate study. Repayment of interest begins shortly after the student receives the funds. The principal is deferred until after the student graduates.
The Student Educational Loan Fund (SELF) offers market-rate loans to assist with graduate study. A SELF loan requires a credit-worthy cosigner.
PROGRAM ASSISTANTSHIPS
The MAOL, MAT and MSW programs may award research assistantships or fieldwork stipends to current students. Consult the program directors for details.
