General Admission Requirements
Each graduate program at the College of St. Catherine has an established admission process. The program brochure and application materials contain specific admission requirements, deadlines and forms. Interested individuals may direct questions to the Office of Graduate Admission at (651)690-6933 or visit the web site at www.stkate.edu/graduatestudy.
In general, individuals planning to pursue graduate education at the College will need to:
- provide evidence of a successfully completed baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or an approved alternate baccalaureate degree plan.
- provide an official transcript from every post-secondary institution attended.
- demonstrate academic preparedness with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- present a record of specialized prerequisite course work or specialized knowledge.
- provide a personal statement, essay and/or resume.
- submit letters of recommendation.
- if their native language is other than English, applicants must provide results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 600 or better on the paper and pencil test or 250 or better on the computerized test, or the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) with a score of 90 or better.
The acceptability of the application is determined in relation to all of the preceding factors.
