Non-Degree Seeking Students
In some programs, students may be allowed to take graduate course work as a non-degree seeking student without being formally admitted to the graduate program. A non-degree seeking student:
- is one who plans to complete only one or two courses for personal or professional development, or to evaluate a graduate program prior to applying for admission.
- may take a maximum of six semester credits as a non-degree student. In order to continue taking graduate course work, the student must complete the application process through the Office of Graduate Admission and be admitted to the program as a degree-seeking student.
- is not eligible for financial assistance.
Non-degree positions are filled on a space-available basis and are subject to graduate program director and instructor permission. Contact the Office of Graduate Admission for application information.
