Leave of Absence
A leave of absence may be granted for students who wish to interrupt their education temporarily. A leave is effective only after the student contacts her or his program office and officially requests and is granted a leave. Failure to register for courses during a particular term does not constitute a leave of absence and could complicate the student's status with the program.
Leaves of absence may be granted for up to one academic year (two semesters or three weekend terms). Students on leave receive information on registering for the upcoming term via their College-assigned e-mail account.
Students who have been away from the College for more than two semesters (more than three terms for weekend students) must contact the Office of Graduate Admission prior to registering for courses. Future registration is on a space-available basis and must be approved by the graduate program director.
