Graduate Catalog 2001-2003
Graduate Catalog 2004-2006 |
Scheduling and Registration
Students must be accepted to the College and the program as either a degree, certificate or non-degree seeking student before they will be allowed to register. See the "Graduate Admission and Financial Information" section of this catalog for specific program requirements. Registration materials for new graduate students are mailed to the student. New graduate Education students must meet with the graduate program director before registering for their first term.
All returning graduate students, with the exception of MSW students, register online on the College of St. Catherine Web site. MSW students register with the University of St. Thomas. Non-degree seeking students register in person at the Office of the Registrar.
Students are responsible for understanding the registration procedures for their individual program. Detailed registration instructions are available online on the Office of the Registrar Web page. Students who are taking courses outside the program they are enrolled in should be aware of the registration dates and other dates and deadlines for these courses. Registration dates for each term as well as other important dates are listed in the Academic Calendar on the Office of the Registrar Web page. The class schedule can also be found on the Web.
Course descriptions for every course are listed in this catalog. Course requisites, if any, are listed at the end of each course description. The terms are defined below:
- Prerequisite: must be taken prior to the upper-level course
- Corequisite: may be taken either prior to or at the same term as the upper-level course
- Concurrent course: must be taken the same term as the accompanying course
Students are responsible for reading the descriptions to ensure that they have met the course requisites before registering for a course. In some instances, at the instructor's discretion, students may be granted permission to register for a course without having completed the requisites. Students seeking such permission should contact their program director or program office.
