Scheduling and Registration

You must be accepted to the University and the program as either a degree, certificate or nondegree seeking student before you will be allowed to register. See the "Graduate Admission and Financial Information" section of this catalog for specific program admission requirements.

All returning graduate students, with the exception of MSW students, register online on St. Catherine's website. MSW students register with the University of St. Thomas. Registration materials for new graduate students are mailed to the student.

You are responsible for understanding the registration procedures for your individual program. Detailed registration instructions are available online. Registration dates are listed in the online Academic Calendar.

Course descriptions for every course are listed in this catalog and in the online class schedule. Course requisites, if any, are listed at the end of each course description. The terms are defined below:

• Prerequisite: must be taken prior to the upper-level course
• Prerequisite with concurrency: may be taken either prior to or the same term as the upper-level course
• Corequisite: must be taken the same term as the accompanying course

In some instances, at the instructor's discretion, you may be granted permission to register for a course without having completed the requisites. Contact your program director or program office to request a registration override.
