Teachers as Leaders for a Changing Society
Credits: 4 cr.
Course Description:
This course explores the 10 Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice with particular emphasis on Standard 3: Diversity.
You examine who you are as a potential teacher and how your culture and personality may affect students, their families and school colleagues. You are assisted in determining whether you are choosing the right career as you experience schools today and the roles and responsibilities of teachers.
Required for elementary, secondary and K-12 licensure. (Required: up to 50 hours of field experience.)
