Pastoral Ministry Certificate
The overall purpose of the Pastoral Ministry program is to credential people for ministry in today’s church, especially those called to more formal roles of ministry.
This ecumenical program integrates three essentials for contemporary lay ministry formation:
- A solid theological foundation
- A supervised pastoral field education experience that teaches ongoing self-evaluation and skills
- A spirituality that takes seriously the identity, experiences and talents of lay people
The Pastoral Ministry Certificate can be obtained at the graduate or undergraduate level. The graduate classes are offered evenings throughout the year. Students may proceed at their own pace. Most complete the program in two to three years.
