Accreditation
St. Catherine University has been granted Candidacy status by the American Library Association Committee on Accreditation (COA). Candidacy status is an indication that St. Catherine University has voluntarily committed to participate in the American Library Association (ALA) accreditation process and is actively seeking accreditation. Candidacy status does not indicate that the program is accredited, nor does it guarantee eventual accreditation of the program by ALA.

The comprehensive review necessary for initial accreditation is scheduled for Fall 2010. If the COA determines that St. Catherine's MLIS program has successfully met all requirements of the review, full accreditation for the MLIS program will be granted in January 2011.
